Botanic Gardens

While on my Kiev vacation, I was taken to see one of the botanic gardens of the city. These are abundant in all sorts of flowers, shrubs and trees which can grow in this weather and area – you would look there for the sort of things you could attempt to cultivate in your garden or the sort of trees you’d plant across the city itself. Call it a guide of all sorts.

It had many beautiful alleyways of trees, both ones like birch and evergreens. Amazingly green, of all the shades of this wonderful colour. What was most refreshing, apart from the weather, was the amount of greenery and general life in plant form, it can’t compete with UAE artificial plant life.

We were visiting the place on Sunday and the church bells of this church were having a sing-song of different bell melodies. That’s definitely something I heard for the first time.

Finally, more of these wonderful flowers, smelling ever so strongly. I took a small bouquet on the home flight with me, to give mom a whiff of it.

I started to select my Kiev photographs in one neat gallery, you can check it out by going to the drop-down menu under Photography above.
